There won’t be much non-essential international travel for the rest of 2020. One glimmer of hope for world travelers is Mexico. One might be able to travel to Mexico as early as July for tourism.
Travel Ban To Mexico
The current non-essential travel ban for land-travel to Mexico for “tourism and recreational in nature” currently expires on June 22, 2020. This action does not apply to air, rail, or sea travel at this time, but does apply to commuter rail and ferry travel.
However, it’s possible that both sides can extend the travel ban. The original ban went into effect on March 21, 2020, and was scheduled to expire in April. But the nations continue extending the ban by 30 days. This is possible as the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase in Mexico.
