I have to break it to you that if you are the soft of person who needs a cold one every night than Sanaa might not be for you. Most of the beer that you can buy is at the expat clubs and it's pretty expensive by Yemenese standards (a little bit more then a beer in a bar would cost in the States, where I am from.) I hear that there is a place that you can buy a six-pack but I know that it is VERY expensive and there is really just one place in Sanaa. You will not be able to walk to the corner store and buy anything alcoholoic.
So the short answer to your question: not really, and it's really expensive and not really worth it. Sorry! But Sanaa offers all sorts of wonderful things anyway, like Qat. |
