| Coming to Hanio for the 1st time later in the year does the visa get filled in at the airport the same as Thailand and Cambodia or do I have to apply prior to the trip can this be in BKK before I leave. |

you have to make visa before you arrive vietnam or you can get at the airport

You can get your visa applied by local tour operators in Hanoi. They will advice you how to do it, and send you all needed documents before coming to Vietnam so that you cat get your a month tourist visa at the airport on your arrival.
