Hi everyone

Apologies if this message has already appeared somewhere else on this forum - I'm new to this.

Does anyone have advice on bringing pets into Vietnam? We're bringing our 3 cats to Ho Chi Minh from Italy. All 3 cats have all inoculations and micro chip pet passports. Has anyone else brought in cats? Was there much paperwork? I'd be interested to hear any tips.

Best wishes

Martin

Hi Martin,
I took my cat from UK to KL and will be taking him from KL to VN in two weeks. Have your cats had rabies vaccine as they will need that. Also you will need to get an import liscense for them.
I will let you know how it went when we get to VN

Hi Doz

Thanks for your reply. We found a company in HCMC (SEAL, Saigon Express Agency Ltd) who said they would take care of all documentation for our 3 cats for 300 dollars total. We sent them the vaccination certificates and health certificates from a vet here in Italy and they said this was all ok. They said their fee also includes bringing a vet to the airport for inspection.

So, hopefully all will be ok but it will be interesting to hear how you get on.

Martin

Sounds like you have things sorted. I will let you know how things go, hopefully no hidden hitches..will let you know if there are.

Good luck with your move, im sure the cats will be fine. Harry did a long flight from UK and was unbelievably ok when he arrived, im sure yours will be too.

Let me know how it goes Very Happy
