                                      Machiques is NOT the city to visit for entertainment.  Although I do have to say most of the people here are polite and the Catholic church here is stunning in it's archetecture and beauty.  There is a seller of arepas around the corner from the hotel marquez in the night, who's arepas are great.  As far as shopping, you can buy most things cheaper in Maracaibo.</description>
