Hi everyone
I'm new in your Thai forum and I would like to get to know new friends from Thailand. Let me tell you all something about myself. I'm from Sarawak in East Malaysia. I love travelling and meeting new friends from the country I visit which to me is the best way of getting to know, feel and taste the country, don't you all agree? I've been to Bangkok and Pattaya few years back and now I'm planning to visit Phuket for about a week, see my post on holidays.
I would love to have new friends to hang out with so people feel free to share anything here with me. Thanks everyone.

Hi dotP
Are you stalking me??? What honeymoon? I'm a confirmed "single" like some of our members of Alloexpat. You may tag alone as long as you don't cling to me like dear life I'm there to check out the food, nightlife, beautiful beaches and some peace and quiet. And also to meet an old friend I met in Bali. I could only relax when I get out of my hometown or better country. |

Hey dotP, if you are asking about the "date" of my trip, no I have not decide yet. I'm more the type who love to just pack and go since I don't have to "report" to anyone, know what I mean.
If you are asking about "our secret date", then I cannot just pack and go as I have to ask you, so boring!!! |

Wendy,
If you stay at Kata Beach, get the long tail, moving towards left of the beach of Kata.. there is a very nice secluded beach in between Kata and Naihan Beach. No access from mainland and only reach-able by long tail.
The beach is in a sheltered bay, has a bar on top of the (small) hill on the beach, floating pontoon for sun bathing, the most unique beach i ever seen. sand are not fine though, more like small stones. Snokerling there is good.
Go Maya Bay, as nowadays they have less tourists. Snorkeling hopefully is still good, tsunami did damage some of them, especially those in shallow water.
If you go in december, you may withness the famous King's Cup (most famous regional regatta) as well as the boat show. i think those are happening on early December. During the Regatta (which the last two yeasrs held at Kata Beach), Kata Beach is very happening and you can have the beautiful view of having 50-60 yachts anchored out the beach. |
