Hi,

Our last trip back in the beginning of the year turned out to be very nasty. The hospitality industry seems to be not as good any more and staff attitudes have certainly changed.
With even the police armed and this tension in the air all the time, would you still recommend SL?
NOT ME!- esp. if you are to take a family holiday.

Whatever you do, I have been warned not to fly with the Sri lankan state-owned Sri Lankan Airlines - it USED to be part of Emirates group and since then Emirates seems to have dropped it..

As always, watch your wallets and pockets when you travel there!

Happy travelling.
