On Saturday, November 4th, we will go for a hike on Baekwoondae in Bukhansan Park. This will be a difficult trail.
Baekwoondae is the highest peak in Seoul. Doseonsa temple was founded by the monk who established Seoul as the capital city. Those who cannot hike may take a rest around the temple. After meeting at the subway station, w e'll take Bus no.1217(G) to terminal and then take a shuttle bus to Doseonsa. This bus will lead us to the highest point in Bukhansan park which we can reach by vehicles. We will take on the challenge of hiking the highest peak in Seoul.

How to get there: Line 4, Suyu Station (number 414).
Where we meet: Just inside Suyu Station near Exit 4
When: 1:00 pm , Saturday, November 4th
What we will do: hike on Baekwoondae, people who cannot do the full hike can visit Doseonsa temple, and we will all have a meal somewhere in the neighbourhood afterwards.
Cost: Entrance fee to the park, and each person will pay for their own meal.

If you have a chance please email sihclub@gmail.com if you plan to attend, or contact Colleen Mackey at 010 2660 1121, Hank Chay at 010 8423 0123, Jeong-ho Park 016 246 9261 , Annie Lim Young-Ae 019 9738 8827 or Anita Berghmans 010 8472 8828 before Saturday afternoon, so we have an idea of how many people plan to attend.
Consider taking our numbers with you in case you are delayed.

Please wear proper hiking footwear.

Cancellation policy: We will not cancel hikes due to inclement weather. Coordinators of the hikes will go to the meeting place and we will try to arrange an alternative activity (likely cultural in nature) if hiking is not possible. You are, of course, not obligated to attend.

Thanks for your interest,
