Hello,
I am an Indian Singaporean currently working in Canada on a contract as a civil engineer.
I have a good proposition to make and I hope you would seriously consider it. Since my family and I are going to be in Canada for a few more years, I want to sell my apartment in Singapore. It's a 5-room HDB (Housing Development Board) apartment that I bought in the open resale market a few years ago, which has been fully paid for. Now you may be looking for houses/ apartments for yourselves, your friends, or executives either to rent or to buy. Rents have started to rise in Singapore, so have prices of residential and other properties. I'm sure you know that it's worthwhile to buy rather than rent, especially in Singapore. For anyone, it will make a lot of sense. So, if you like, you could buy my apartment. It is in an excellent location called Bishan (Shunfu Road), which is relatively close to an existing Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station. Also, a new MRT station called Marymount on the Circle Line, which is only a two minutes walk away from our apartment building, will make it even more convenient for travel to any part of Singapore and is sure to increase the value of the apartment when Circle Line opens.
The apartment is on the second floor, so there will be no need to wait for a lift. Just walk up the stairs and you are there. The unit is very private in that there is no common corridor. The apartment has one of the best layouts, and is located ideally so that you will have no traffic noise etc. It is close to all amenities including banks, post office, shopping centres, market, parks and is within walking distance to top schools including the famous Raffles College.
If you are interested, please let me know by return e-mail, and please let me know your phone number if you wish to speak to me. My cousin, who is living in the same apartment building is the one who is looking after my apartment. It was recently painted. The furniture was all purchased for our own living, and I furnished the place very nicely. If you want, I can sell the apartment with all the furniture, electrical appliances and fittings, or without them. It's up to you. In any case I would like you to take a look at my place, and look at the neighbourhood. I bought it there, because it is the best location...well, at least for me...and for a lot of people. I can sell the apartment for you for Singapore Dollars $355,000 or best offer (without furniture) if you can purchase it now.
Let me give you a good piece of information that may be of use to you: If you are investing SGD $2 million (this may be 1.5million, but please verify) in Singapore, or if you work in Singapore under employment pass, you will be entitled for Singapore Permanent Residence. You need to be a Singapore Permanent Resident in order to buy an HDB apartment. If you buy it directly from me, it will be a private sale/ purchase, and so there will be no agents' commissions involved, which will be be good for both of us. The transaction process is very simple and orderly as with generally anything in Singapore. We just have to go to HDB, and follow the established procedure.
Well, that's all for now. Hope to hear from you soon. Please feel free to ask me if there is anything you want to know about Singapore. I will help you as much as I possibly can.
Best wishes!
Sincerely,
H C
