I have not heard of anymore S'porean food accept for the fried s'porean mee, and most of all the S'pore Sling!
Is there any stuff more that taste truly Singapore? |

Oh come on, dotp,
you know very well the food between the malaysia and singapore are very close and it's pretty much up to the individual which they prefer...
That said, some of my personal favorites:
1. Carrot cake - Upper Buikt Timah Hawker Center
2. Claypot Rice - Havelock Road Market
3. Roti Prata - Jalan Kayu
4. Chilli / White Pepper Crab - No Signboard Seafood Restuarant
5. Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice - Upper Bukit Timah
6. 5 Star Chicken Rice - Upper Bukit Timah
7. Claypot Crab Bee Hoon - Upper Serangoon Road
8. Turtle Soup - East Coast
9. Bak Kut Teh (Hokkien Style) - River Valley
10. Black Pepper Crab - East Coast
11. Beef Hor Fun - Geylang
12. Frog Leg Porridge - Geylang
13. Sup Kambing - Adam Road Hawker Center |

Agree on the carrot cake, I grew quite fond of it. Where about in Sing are you from Damien? You might know of a place on Orchard Rd that I went to but cant remember the name. They had all kind of food on sticks which were colour coded and they cooked them for you, while you sat at a table which had a hole in the centre and a gas fire wich boiled the vegies while you waited for your cooked food. Hope I'm making sence!
