It is now possible to watch every single US tv-channel in cristal clear quality everywhere in the world. This is very interesting, especially for expats. If you are interested just check out this homepage:

Hey guys...I just got this new service called Habu.TV. It's looking like it is the real deal. I get my own subscription to Time Warner Cable...the full subscription is all they offer...a little pricey, but worth it if you want live streaming cable from the States. I get everything TW offers...250 Ch. AND I get a DVR/Tivo so I can record and watch later because of the time difference. At $149/month it will be a little out of some's price range...but I believe you get what you pay for. Sure there are free sites...but they aren't reliable or always good quality...AND they don't have a set-top box solution for your TV like Habu does...so, up to you:-) Habu.TV - worth checking out anyway.

Cheers!
Hello everyone

I'm hoping you can help me with some research I'm doing into the expat market in Qatar, particularly in the current climate.

I was wondering if this is something any of the members here would be able to help me with?

I have a couple of questions really:
1. What is it like for expats in Qatar now, and how has the climate changed for you over the past year or so?
2. What attracted you to work in Qatar?
3. What drives expats to leave when the time comes to move on from Qatar?

What would be the best way to get in touch - by phone, email or PM?

I look forward to hearing from you,

Qatar has a wide range of medical facilities, with some of the best specialist doctors in the world practising at one of the medical departments in the al emadi hospital hospital which is private hospital in doha .Both government and private sectors have the latest equipment and medical technology available. the young girls in doha 20-25 years become more concerning about their body images they look for best way to keep them younger apperance even the cost of cosmetic procdures is so much expensive here (private clinics) .THEY have daily 3- 6 patients asking for botox or fillers in dr. kamal saleh cosmetic clinic in al emadi hospital in doha as the doctor said . also they asking for any updating in plastic or cosmetic surgery ,looking for the most new procdures or devices that appear in the nets or international clinics. I think this related to speed of the growth in this countery, and increase the financial ,economical powers of the pepoles, high standard of education status

Been here since September and so far I don't see any "dress code" for any expat, IMHO as long you don't go over the board I guess it's okay. Basically every places we go we have to respect the local culture.

I still dress the way I dressed before. But I do recommend not to wear something too revealing - think of the bachelors expats that are singles and left their wifes back home - you just don't want to be a 'exposition item' and see all this mens drooling on you:

                                      Dear All,

The Middle East is seeing lots of changing skylines, as is China.

Please check out: www.spyshanghai.com

Since being out here in Shanghai for the past 6 months, I've been keeping a blog covering Shanghai's changing skyline as well as some of the stuff I have been getting up to!

Hopefully you'll find some time to have a bit of a read!

Also, writers are wanted!

Thanks and all the best for 2007!
Hello

I'm a student of Gießen University in Germany looking for particapants for my study (diploma thesis).

As the focus of the study are German / Swiss / Austrian expats, the following introduction will be in German!

Thank you for your understanding!

Kind regards
Ellie Lazzaro

Sehr geehrte/r Auslandsentsandte/r,

My point is, to us expats and to those who quit their jobs or even completed a year or two and visa was cancelled and cannot enter Doha in two years, is it really necessary? two long years? even if the problem is with the company not with the employee? I just heard a lot of comments from fellow expats expressing the same situation...I hope the government can do somethng about this. A LOT of expats suffered bacause of this policy...............
