Moving to Cebu is a good option where you can combine doing business and relaxation in one.
There are really many options on where you can live.
It also depends on whether you want to stay in a condo in Cebu or opt for a house instead.
There are many houses for rent in Cebu as well as condos for rent.

You might find Mactan attractive since it is near the water. However, realistically speaking,
you will find the traffic situation a great deal of stress if you want to go to Metro Cebu to do your
business. If living within the metro ( to be close to more options of dining experiences,shopping,
night life), condominiums in Cebu are a good deal. If you prefer houses, there are lots of subdivisions
to choose from as well.

A few things that you need to think of and need to tell your broker ( if you choose to get one)
1. what activities do you plan to do. This will matter for location choices.
2. What type of property: house for rent, condos for rent, rent to own properties
How many rooms. What facilities do you want (wifi,cable, swimming pool, tennis court...guards )
3. budget
4. terms of stay : most owners and brokers prefer a minimum of 1 year stay but I suggest
you negotiate for 6months or even 3 to get the feel of the place.


Getting a broker is a good option but it is still advisable that you do your own research.

There are many real estate classifieds where you can find options as well as directly contact brokers.
