hi greg,the cheaper end of beach is angol,you can find good deals for long term rent,but it is getting more expensive in boracay compared to other places,also better to go in rainy season to get a better deal,hope this helps and maybe meet up for a beer or 2 when your there,

I'm in that same boat.I'll be shopping around soon for longer term arrangments. One thing I've noticed is that everything seems to be more run down that one would expect--I keep getting the "what do you expect, its an island!"
With only half the year done and over 7 billion in tourism pesos spent here so far this year, well...thats just not small change.
Casa Camilla is an excelent location on the beach and I'll stop in soon to check out this large room for 3k. Mostly, I'll need a kitchenette to keep my food bill down.

At present we have four Aussies ( Australians ), one kiwi ( New Zealander ), five Yanks ( Americans ), two Scottish guys staying on a yearly basis and two British guys staying with us on a six month basis Room # 10 and 14 at P96,000 ( U$2285 ) / year or any six month period after EASTER Sunday and before Dec. 7 at P63,000 ( U$1500 ) NET / six months when paid in advance.
Our guests for the last two years staying in Cottage #s 11, 12 & 14 at P96,000 ( U$2285 ) / year or P63,000 ( U$1500 ) / six months ( Between Easter Sunday & Dec. 7 ) will not be renewing so become available AUG 1 ( #14 ), AUG 24 ( #12 ) / SEPT 7 ( # 11 ) , 2008.
Room #s 15, 16 & 17 formerly our cheapest rooms have been demolished and being renovated now as we add one more building extension with two or three more studio / one or two bedroom apartment units.We've decided to convert the 3 previous rooms into two rooms or a one bedroom two bathroom apartment with kitchenette.

Local meals like a variety of rice toppings with rice from homecooked "turo turo" eateries and local meals served by Filipino fast food chain restaurants P40 to P75. SUB-LET OPTIONS; For those long term guests who are interested, we can accept short term bookings at our daily and monthly rates for your room which we keep 20% booking commission and save the balance for you or deposit it in your local bank account while you are absent. Taking advantage of this offer provides you with your own small "home on the beach" where you can invite friends or family or rent it daily when you're not staying or sublet it part of the year to make it even more economical. Or share one cottage room with a 2 or 3 other friends or family members so you get 3 or 4 months a year each, costing each of you only "pocket money" to hang out in "paradise". Also we allow and help our long term guests to customize their unit to suit their individual needs so they feel more at home.
Guests with Children; Boracay is a fantastic place for your children to become familiar with the beauty of "mother nature" in the Philippines and be introduced to many water sports and other physical activities inconvenient or not available in Manila or other larger cities. The rising cost of living in Europe, North America, N.E. Asia and large cities in developing countries make such activities expensive and difficult to manage for exhausted parents doing their best to make a living. Kids on Boracay can play on the beach, wander around, having fun, freely, in a safe environment without their parents worrying and only requiring their kids to be home for meals. Our daughter, Camilla, going on 20 years old now treasures her childhood memories growing up on Boracay. And now, Brent International School, with an excellent reputation, opened a campus on Boracay a few years ago;
