Hi, I've received an offer to relocate to Manila at the end of this year for 1-2 years. I've browsed the threads on this forum but still have questions. Hoping someone will be able to help us out.

I'll be moving with my husband and 2 young kids (3 and 5). I will need to get a maid and a yaya (though I'm hoping not to have live-ins - if this is an option, just for the time we're at work). I'd like advice on:

Housing: I'd like to get a 3-4 bedroom house in Alabang or a similar type area that's close to a clubouse with a pool, golf course, etc. How much should I expect to spend? I'm hoping there are homes in the PHP80000 range.

School: I'd like the housing to be close to a montessori preschool or kindergarten (if these are common). How much should I expect to spend on a full day preschool?

Car: I'll need an SUV and a smaller car of some sort. Is leasing an option or will I have to buy? What are the rates like for a 2yr old Honda CRV or Honda Jazz/Fit?

Yaya: I'm paranoid about leaving my girls at home alone with anyone. Are CCTVs common and how much are they? And how much do Yayas cost?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you.

Dear fromNH,

In case the relocating offer is done by a Sirius company – they can support you well.

A local agent phone number, how handle all necessary documents like working permit with local contacts to real estate brokers are an minimise support for each global hire.

Company support for Cars and nanny’s are possible but up to range of hired person.

Thanks for the advice. We are moving in January and our company has a relo firm they work with. I think we have nailed it down to Rockwell Forbes Park. Will check both out when we're there.
