I've been browsing this forum but noticed things are a little quiet compared to some of the other countries' forums.
Actually, it feels really echo-ey in here....
Looking forward to replies because I may go to Wellington in a few months.

Hi Jade!
My husband and I are moving to Wellington from Los Angeles in August. I'm in the process of gathering info about neighborhoods, nightlife, culture, etc. because I want to have an idea of where in the city we should move.
I noticed you have had better luck with other chat rooms/forums - would you mind sharing those? We're planning to be in NZ for about a year and I'm in the preliminary stages of house-hunting and job-seeking.
Any info would be great!
BTW... are you American? |

Mrs J,
I am as happy as Robinson Crusoe when he met Friday!
I am a Chinese Malaysian, and may go to live in Wellington for up to 2 years starting 2008. I might go there late this year if I can tidy up loose ends here.
I may be able to help you if you have specific questions about New Zealand. I lived there for six years from 1985-1990. And from what I hear, nothing much has changed except for property prices and rentals, which have tripled.
Alternatively, you can try the Malaysian forum, which I think is the most active.
Hope to meet up with you when I am there. Maybe we can liven things up a bit in Wellington!
