Hey... Im thinking of moving to Auckland from England when I finish my uni degree and I wondered how the city was to live in. Has it got friendly people and a good night life for 18 - 24 year olds? Smile

I know London is really horrible.. always people pushing you and standing on your feet (not a nice place to be) I just wondered how it compared.

I am actually from Auckland but at present hiding out in China.

New Zealand is not to bad a place compared with other places around the world. Auckland has a pretty good night life if you know where to look. Mainly around the city center. I would not say that the majority of people are friendly (towards a local anyways). The people there are more polite than other cities ive been to and not so arogant. I advise you to take a trip there first and see for yourself also have a look around the rest of the country. People in the South Island are much friendlier. Chirstchurch is a very nice city that has a great nightlife and friendly folk.

We have granted a residence visa and want to move Auckland. We have decided to live in appartments in Auckland Central.
What is the centre of the city like?
How high is crime rates?
Are there any day care centres in the city?
