We've had a connection with an ISP called Worldlink internet service providers in Kathmandu, Nepal for about 3 months.
They charged us $200 US to set up the account and bring over the wireless dish and hub (which we have to return but NO deposit refund...).
They charge us 6,500 rupees a month, about $100 US dollars and we have had nothing but problems since the start.
Half the time we are not connected at all or our speed is less than 2mbps per - we were promised 84kbps and yet we cannot upload a simple file via FTP in less than five or ten minutes. It's virtually impossible to download anything and even worse is when we call to complain they say "We'll call you back" but they NEVER do, then they say "We'll send someone to look at it" but they never come.
When we call to follow up and find out if they are going to show up they say 'You didn't answer your phone when we called, we need your address" as if our address isn't in their client files!
This back and forth with no result has happened SIX times with NO results.

What we've figured out is that they are basically sharing our wireless dish connection (installed on our roof) with multiple other subscribers in the area - which is NOT what we were told when we signed up.

When we've called to talk to their support manager he just interrupts us constantly and basically doesn't listen to the problem. OR after I've told the whole story they ask 'so what is your problem?' LIKE HELLO?!?! The problem is I'm being gouged for money and have shoddy service at best.

Worldlink Internet Service in Kathmandu, Nepal is the worst - I would steer clear of them at all costs. They will tell you whatever they can to get you to sign up and then they will steal your connection and divide it up illegally between other users. I'd bet they have a whole network of wireless accounts all across Kathmandu that are set up this way.

They seem to take advantage of the expat community - be warned!
