Hi,

i am looking at applying for a job in Sweden which pays the equivelent of £21500 which i think works out at 255,846 SEK.

Is this a decent wage for someone living in Sweden. Could i live ok on that? i am struggling to find out the cost of living in Sweden.

I would love to take the job as i think the adventure will be great.

Cost of living in Sweden is pretty high. But most people do just fine. You just have to adjust your living possibly. I mean, people at the grocery store still make better money then minimum wage and blue collar workers in america, and they live just fine!!!!

It also depends on where in Sweden your looking to live/work. Will you have a car or use a bike? I will tell you that the 2 highest bills my bf has over there is 1. Rent, and VERY close behind 2. gasoline. So if you can bike to and from work, that's a big cost saver!!! If you get a good paying job in Stockholm, consider living in a nearby suburb and commute. It's really hard to find a place in Stockholm anyway.

There is no easy answer to your question. Sorry. The easiest one I have is, Swedish people seem to survive on whatever pay they get. You just might need to adjust your standard of living.
