If you are looking in Central Portugal for a property, do not overlook the region of Góis. The region is mountainous, forested and has deep valleys with historic villages, wit some of the most hospitable and friendly people I have ever experienced. At the region's heart is the town of Góis, whose history goes back at least 800 years, that sits on the side of the River Ceira.
If you do a Google search for Góis you should find our website.
