I am getting ready to move to Germany, in the Baden Wurttemberg area and I have heard that childcare is very expensive. My daughter is 2 years old and I heard she will not be able to go the regular daycare or pre-school yet. I have to go to work and my husband will not join me til later on, what do I do. Babysitting is also very expensive I hear. What can I do. Please if anyone has an answer please, write me . Thank you so much.

Expensive is relative.. 6 euros per hour seems to be a generic cost for babysitters in my city. A lady came to my house once for that amount and there is a "walk in" day care in town with the same price. Check to see if that particular city has some websites for child care organizations. Are you able to contact anyone in the company you will be working with? Perhaps a colleague, or a colleague's wife would have some information for you, or maybe a referral to someone they know.
