I am writing to ask if anyone knows the practice followed concerning the 90 days out of 180 allowed on a tourist visa. I live in a new EU country (USA citizen), and have met many americans, canadians, and Australians who have lived here for many years on tourist passports. The rules dictate that one can only stay for three out of 6 months but the reality is that one only needs to leave the country long enough to have their passport stamped and they can stay for another three months.
