My grandfather from Gol Norway happened to be standing in New Mexico when they made it a state. He was shot and died shortly after leaving a family of little Norwegians stuck in the Wild West. Despite the colorful history, it's been a real challenge to be Norwegian in the united States, especially with a last name like Tronsgaard. Which is probably not even spelled correctly. Like a good Norwegian, I created enough problems by rocking the boat, and have worn out my welcome in a nation that seems to be obsessed with oppressive policies. What is it like in Norway? Am I allowed to have an opinion, can I express it without being called unpatriotic? What is the Norwegian tempermant like in 2007? I'd like to hang it up and go back to Norway. I own my own business, we managed to make a few bucks over the years. I think I long for the Fjords.
