The Southern Cross Group, an international volunteer-run and independently funded advocacy and support organisation for Australian expats, has been working in conjunction with Advance to develop an on-line Census of Australians Abroad, entitled "One Million More".
The launch of the One Million More Census coincides with the Australian Population Census in Australia on 8 August. It is an online questionnaire that in part mirrors the questions in the Census in Australia, as well as including specific questions that relate to the changes and issues confronting Australian expatriates.
Our aim is to have as many Australians abroad as possible receive and disseminate this questionnaire during the months of August and September 2006. |
