Lets discuss quick way to repair slow working or moderately bugged Windows here.

First I would like to tell that there is crowd of windows fixing utilities available on the market today, free and shareware. But the truth is most of them are dangerous to your PC and can brake it even more. I've used many of it, mostly free ones. And then did complete re-install of Windows since it was completely frozen. So my final solution is to use 2-4 programs that proved themselves in most cases. Here is my list of such Windows repair tools:

#1 RegistryEasy
#2 RegistryCure
#3 RegistryMechanic
#4 RegistrySmart

First 2 programs available at http://repair.repairandsecure.com .

And you can find other 2 at Download.com do not wish to post multiple links here.

Cheers,
Carl

I MOSTLY do preventative items. I use IE for some things and like IE7 enough, but primary browser is FF. I block scripts, popups, and adverts. Alloexpat for example doesnt show ANY ads for me.

I also have the XP firewall and AVG working in the background. The last item is spybot and its preventative bits, but you can do a lot of that manually.

Because I install and remove a lot of applications, I will clean things up with CCleaner once in a while.

har har!

Something to be said for that but I have seen some pretty messed up macs. The difference is that if the mac has errors or even locks up its assumed to be operator error. For windows, its assumed the user didnt do anything wrong.

Blahblahblah. I like Mac, but dont have OS related issues with Windows enough to switch. ESPECIALLY now with local income. I did try OSX on a dell once though :)

I SHOULD have added that much of what I do isnt for stability so much as preventing online annoyance and tracking. The rest is the same anyone would probably do on either OS.

Reinstall you pc, and install Ubuntu Linux on it because this is your change to get rid of that virus called Windows and replace it with a very stable and free alternative.

I still can't believe there is no virus scanner which is able to remove Windows.

I just can't believe it.
