im sorry but Penang ROCKS!

it may be congested but u have EVERYTHING in one tiny island.
history n culture,food, arts, old charm bistro and bars and art deco ones...nature.

sorry Swampov u had a bad time in Penang u should have given me a call ...

Good to hear that you are back in Penang... Remember to go for the Bon-o-dori or the Dragon Boat ya... I think your next week should be Dragon Boat...

so..there's 3 mths for u to explore...
hmm...penang for me is a relaxing place where u can chill by the beaches (even though it;s not the best beaches in the region ),or having a beer in a local pubs or bistro,or even enjoying the hawker foodstallsif u love foods...
well..i m based in KL now..so..if u dont mind...we can meet up for a drink when i get back penang in my next trip...or probably if u ever come to KL then we can have a meal or smtg...
just PM me anytime yea?

I Know I am outside the age scope of this thread but it seems more active than others so hope you do not mind me adding myself to it,

Living in Gurney at the moment next to the G Hotel, been here for over a year now and love the weather, have no social circle so looking for like minded people to share a coffee and a chat with.

Yes I am 37, but a young 37 ha ha, will be here for at least the next 3 years

Hello...this thread has turned into a bit of a rant about Penang but I just wanted to say that I am a young ex-pat (24) moving to George Town this weekend...be good to meet up with anyone who has been here a while and wants to show a newbie the ropes

The peole in penang are not wellcomming. The steets are a mess, The rain is a wisutar every day beacuse of the mountins in the west... and the food is overrating!
There are much cheper places and much nicer peopel in e south... Belive me!
