hi
could you tell me if international students can work in KL? i am planning to move there soon and need to spend for my expenses( not rent), do you think is this possible?
To officially work, you need a work permit, you can't do it with only a student pass.
But there are always some jobs you could think about doing without needing a proper work permit, for example giving English lessons, babysitting, etc.

I have recently got a job offer from a big insurance firm in Malaysia.
I will be based out in KL for a couple of years.
I was wondering if you can help me answer the following questions:
Can you help get a rough idea of the expenses for my requirements as below:
Married or Single - Single (getting married in Feb)
Will spouse work - Yes if possible
How many Kids - n/a
Do you need Expat Schools - NO
Country you are coming from (Tax purposes) - N/a
Bills you still have to pay in home country - student loans in UK (800 GBP per month)
Type of car you want - A basic car
Apartment/House/Condo - Condo/ apartment
How many rooms : 2 - 3
What part of Malaysia : KL
Niceties you need in your home (broadband, air con, location, western style, etc) : condo will be furnished with air con .
kitchen may not be furnished. must have broadband
I have a discussion on my offer tomorrow, so would be great if I can get some approximation at least on the rent.
