How about age ? Can i use this programme for age 30 ?
Yes, any age can apply, i have recently had my visa approved, i am 48, retired and had to put up the depoist and show my last 2 years tax returns from Australia & that was that! The BEST thing is that you can buy one new/used DUTY, TAX & EXCISE FREE CAR! That right, once u get your visa stamp u apply to the Ministry of Finance then go shopping, i found it much cheaper buying a new car in Singapore (one approved for export ) and send it via Port Klang, i will report back once its all settled! Buy if anyone wants some help get back to me!

Besides the RM$150K fixed deposit in malaysia banks, is there a condition that house must be more than RM$250K in value ? I am thinking of retire in batu pahat as it seems a safe place.

Hi fletch8.
Is it all sorted now?
I am just starting the process of purchasing a new car (to be imported from Germany!), and am interested to know your experiences. Were there any hiccups or pitfalls that we need to be wary of?
Incidentally the most informative MMSH site I have found is:
From the menu of choices on the left hand side select English (Unless your Bahasa is a lot better than mine)
Then select "Tourism", and the drop down window will reveal "MMSH" amongst other choices. Click on MMSH and then you get a list of things 1 through to 9, plus an appendix I.

Are there any possibility to work in Malaysia if a family got the approval under 2nd home programme . I mean to say tha t for a Medical Doctor or an Experience Engineer
Jef, from what i have read on a few FAQ's about the program, even doctors or teachers are not allowed to work under this program.
But i have been looking for infos about the tax rates on the gain made on the sale of a property, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know?
Thanks
