I tried to find a business suit for myself yesterday (in two malls - Sungei and Pavilion), and was not satisfied with what I saw. Either the quality wasnt good, or things were too costly. My budget was roughly around RM1000 and the few good suits I found in Pavilion Parksons were way above that range (except of course the one on sale in G2000). Since I am relatively tall (6'2'') I didnt find an appropriate size as well in some shops Smile

I was hoping to get some advice from members here on where are good places to look for mens suits (where I dont need to pay an unnecessary premium which I guess a place like Pavilion might charge for being a very fancy mall). I of course dont want to get cheated, so if your suggestion is a place where I need to bargain a lot, please do let me know. If you think my budget is too little, please let me know that too!

Thx!

I have seen one at the Sheraton Imperial, in the plaza area. Nog sure about the prices though. To be honest, a 1000RM is to little to find something good, I thing you should add a 500RM at least to your budget.

Try a tailor!

Being 6'1"' myself, I always have a horrid time looking for suits off the rack. They never fit especially cause of my broad back too! The prices are insane at some places as well.

I always have my suits tailored (as I believe all suits should be tailored to every person like a superhero costume Wink Wink ) You can negotiate the material, price, customize the cutting. Try the tailor in Sungei Wang Plaza called The Page on the ground floor.

Suit-UP!! Cool Cool

Hello friend,
You have tried in malls and you are not getting a suitable match then it's really a difficult task because in malls we use to get variety of everything.
You have not mentioned that either you are searching a suit of particular brand or you can chose it from any brand.
There are many branded Suits For Men like Manzoni Suits,Mantoni Suits, Ralp Lauren Men's Suits..These brands are good and havbe limited range also..but I will suggest you to increase your budget a bit to get suitable suit.
So you have many options to chose it from.

Regards,
Nelson
