Dear mariametaxa,
Thank you for being positive, fair and wise in your comments. As I review this forum from time to time Iam happy to see the number of wise and fair comments increasing. In todays world of more prudent and lterate people, we need our comments to online posts qnd forums to reflect that.
Yes Mariametaxa, I do remember reading about some iliterate person accusing some authors about being school staff just because they had some positve comments. i only felt sorry for them because they onmy lead themselves to being unwell mentally as they are just bent on seeing the dark side of things. There is not much hope for people like this and they are just as bad and unwell as what they accuse the school of being.
I am very happy to hear that your son did very well and that his teachers were not british , although you have correctly pointed out that the new art teacher is good; I agree.
That was the main reason i decided to contibute to this site;because my son too passed with flying colours;and I know my son better then anyone else, definitely ,more so than those authors who wrote only negative comments and saw themselves as in the old days;as slaves kow towing to any Britisher; again iI d like to state that I have nothing against the Brits and I would support them justly, anywhere if deserved:
My son and his friends scored scored strings of not just A s but A* s for subjects in all the Pure Sciences and Mathematics. Two years ago my daughter and her friends repeated the same feat, again in Pure Sciences and Mathematics.
Look behind the glitz and gloss of schools like GIS Mont Kiara and what have you. What they have in abundance overshadows their leck of or what other schools thrive in, which could may as well be whats more important for the child.

Who says they are a troll? I think they have specific grievances about this school and are genuine in their contempt for it. leave them alone, and perhaps the school may then need to change radically.
I can understand parents not being happy and writing reviews here to express their view but what I can't understand while everyone rants and talks bad about this school , no one has taken any constructive action to deal with the on-going problems. All schools are subjected to the country's law whether international. private or public school. why isn;t any single soul highlighting the lack of education and environment provided by this school to the Ministry of Education , why isnt anyone arranging for spot checks by the ministry? why is everyone screaming in here, and pouring their heart out and nothing is being done?
Why can't anyone write to the local daily, create ruckus???and if you are happy at all why still send your child to that school?
I dont know anything abt this school, mine attends a private school, reading all these I must say my child is a far better school. I do think many public schools in Malaysia are better than Mutiara if what is being said here is true.
Someone has to put on the brave pants, I suggest a skirt and demand or have mmetings to get things right in the school. no point screaming, ranting and major dramaing , ACTION WORKS, TAlk is CRAP.
in short do something instead of bitching abt it. I just cant understand how so many parents feel so strongly abt this and can keep their mouth shut( oh yes writing here only warns some ppl not all) If you want betterment for your child, stand up. if not shut up and accept the crappy service.

OK done with my preaching of the day:)
CHika
Whoa...someone needs to take Chika out for a beer....
RCP,
I don't drink beer
If I would want some changes I would walk a hundred mile to make it happen and not whine abt it. So if this school is as crappy as what these ppl are saying, then do something abt it.why go on and on and on abt it???
Actions speaks louder than words, PERIOD!!!!

Well put, Chika.
I recall an ancient post here whereby a parent (glad to note the only one) who seemingly had an axe to grind with the school our son is currently in. I refused to be drawn into her raving diatribe. I could have countered her views and listed down the many reasons why we, parents and child, are 100% satisfied with the school. I see no need to. I did, however, sent an email to the principal, directing him to the link. With a note to the equivalent of "I think you should be aware of this" thingy.
I won't close this Mutiara thread for now. Golden rule when one is seeking advice on a public forum - do not read blindly, do your own off-the-web research.

Cheers, one and all.
Thanks Geordie. I simply can't understand all this whining and no one taking action, so I had to say what I had to say.
RCP, I don't need any beer, though champagne would be nice
initially having second thought about visiting this site again because there is so much hatred thrown in the postings by a number of few people. I tried to pen down my happy stories my children and I experienced with Mutiara but like I said, their hatred is too overbearing. They even accused the school of forcing AE to delete the "hatred thread". I was sceptical, now the truth is out!
We should have a few more "chika" in this forum because his view is constructive although he is not familiar with the school. I know the school very well as my 2 children graduated from this school and my daughter is in the secondary school. I have had issues with them before but I chose to see the Principal or the Directors. I told them my views/concerns and at times I was, not with their explanation at times but satisfied that I had come forward.
I don't drink but I would buy wine for chika anytime....ha...ha....
