Hi all

I am in the process of moving from one employer to another.

Think I am covered EP wise in that:
- Current company has provided release letter
- Current EP will be cancelled
- New EP Stage 1 granted
- I will return on a Social Visit Pass and proceed with Stage 2.

One question outstanding on both sides is the issue of tax clearance and whether I need to do anything in light of the fact I will be 'returning' to Malaysia immediately.

Appreciate any advice before I engage a taxation agent.

Hi

I was in the same situation as you. I changed employers but what i did was give my tax details to the new employer and they took it from there. Maybe you can ask your company to do the same.
