hi all

Is there any chances for me to become a Malaysian citizen if I ever marry my malaysian girlfriend. I wish to live with her in malaysia for the rest of my life so I would like to become a malaysian citizen. I was working in malaysia before when I met my malaysian girlfriend. I am a Muslim from southern Philippines who is currently working in a company here in madinah, saudi arabia. I intend to resign and move to malaysia in a few months to ask her hand in marriage. And we would like to marry there in malaysia.

I have two older sisters who lives in malaysia ever since they were little and got married to malaysian men and now they were long been a malaysian citizens. Some of my uncles and cousins were also a malaysian citizens too. They became malaysian long time ago so I wonder maybe the policy of acquiring citizenship before is different from today.

If it is possible for me to be a malaysian citizen then how long it would take and how is the procedures.

Thank you in advance.. :)

Not sure how the whole process will go, but there might be a chance to pull it off, especially when you are a Muslim and going to vote for BN.

Just check the immigration website, it should be explained there. You will get a visa any ways after your marriage, so I don't understand why you want to change nationality. In case you want to go back to the Philippines, you can't any more, not sure if it's worth the risk to trade the Philippines for Malaysia, not much of an improvement if you ask me.
