Yep, I've been a scuba diving instructor for a decade, started out in Malaysia a long, long ago. Been diving everywhere, and had a dive club in KL 10 years ago. Now I have a dive club in Beijing.
There are dive trips at least once a month, normally an extended weekend. Next one is to Redang from the 18th, 3n/4d incl. room, food, and 7 dives for 800RM.
Though I'm not associated with any particular dive school in KL, don't worry - I have certified over 1,500 students now, and I hold a Master Instructor status, which is a 4th level of instructorship (there are 5 levels).
Any questions about diving, just ask! |

I just found a very good website for diving and scuba diving
http://www.recntec.com/
They can provide courses in English (of course, Swedish, French and others)
Very good quality equipment in their show room.
Hope that will help some |

You guys have any tip on the packages available in Sipadan?
As it seems like they have restricted the access a few months ago because of an overweight on the islands.
Would like to make a booking for beginning of April.
Thanks |

Yep, the island closed as of Jan. 1st this year. Since February, you can actually land on Sipadan but noone is allowed to stay over-night. Best bet is to stay in Mabul where you can run day-trips easily to Sipadan.
E-mail me if you need any more info. zeus@urbandivers.com |

A bunch of us had recently dived Sipadan. It is fabulous! We were guided by a very professional Course Director while he was having courses.
I recommend you guys to check out his website at http://www.idc-pro-malaysia.com
Have Fun!! |

Or, as for me, if you're on a shoestring, stay at mainland in p*rn at Dragonn Inn Resort.
The two times I been there, I paid RM60 and RM88 per night. Then I made day trips to Pulau Sipadan or Pulau Mabul.
I'm planning to do day-trip 2 dive with North Borneo Divers. Cost about RM300 inc. equipment. |
