The Golf Club Of Lebanon is a beautiful green oasis of sun soaked tranquility located adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea between Beirut’s Southern suburbs and its international Airport .&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
“The Club”  as it is known to its members, was established in 1923 To provide a venue for sport, recreation, entertainment and social enjoyment to members, guests and visitors alike who are looking for a comfortable place to escape the congestion and noise of the bustling capital city.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Club features an 18-hole championship quality golf course, the most modern and fully equipped Tennis Centre in Lebanon, an Aquatic centre with 33-meter Six-lane swimming pool, diving tank and a junior pool for young children.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are outdoor basketball courts, a children’s playground and a lovely family picnic and sun-tanning garden adjacent to the swimming pool.&lt;br /&gt;
For indoor activities, the Central Club Building houses Squash court, a billiard and snooker room, a recreational table games rooms, an old English style Pub and the club’s  administrative offices .&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
To serve patrons dining needs, the Club’s main dining Restaurant is located in the Aquatic Centre and there are additional food preparation and banquet facilities in the Golf Pavilion and the Central Club Building.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In recent years, The Club has begun a major renewal and upgrading program to all its facilities. The past year has been particularly active. Recent improvements include a major upgrading to the Tennis Center’s six court surfaces and perimeter fencing in order that Lebanon’s Davis Cup Matches can be hosted at the Tennis center in July 2005.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Aquatic Centre has had the swimming /diving tank and the junior pool tank completely resurfaced. A new overflow water recirculation system has been installed as well as an entirely new tile pool deck. In addition, the surrounding picnic / Sun tanning gardens have been expanded and new pool and garden furniture has been added .&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Golf Course has added two new “Grass Traps” to the conventional sand trap hazards . An attractive new feature has been added at the artificial lake with the addition of a small but colorful flock of ducks and geese . And the grass greens have been improved markedly as a result of new turf management techniques A new tee box has been added to the one of the redesigned holes and more new mature trees have been planted .&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The storm drain infrastructure around the artificial lake has had a major upgrading done . Finally, the exterior retaining walls on the extremities of the golf course have been improved to prevent any flooding from adjacent properties.&lt;br /&gt;
