Hi Everyone

Found this website by accident so thought I'd join up and say 'Hi'. Not very active is it! Anyway, I'm an English guy and I am working on a consultancy project in Kuwait, so I travel there from time-to-time. Have been four times over the last year and will probably be back there soon. I usually have the odd colleague or two with me but it would be good to meet up with some folks of any age, sex or nationality who live there and may be able to give me a different perspective on Kuwait than I get from the odd four-week working visit. There seem to be a lot of...well...shall we say 'less than complimentary' comments about the place and, to be honest, I share those views. I normally stay in Salmiya and so far I haven't found anything more exciting than eating, coffee and the climbing centre at Marina Waves. Is that it? Please don't tell me about shopping; its a necessity not a hobby!

Folks, feel free to get in touch. Maybe we can meet up for....God help us...coffee or something!

Tony

Well mate I have lived here for 5 years and am not going ot be able to off you much help in the enterainment department
Mostly I wouldn't give 2pents for any entertainment center anywhere in the world If you like to ice skate then there is the Ice rink on the 2nd ring road there are a few nice private meseums around if you can find them and a couple of larger public ones if you care for that sort of thing.
I like to meet folks from out of town so to speak for a coffee as long as it is not Starbucks can't stand their rubbish they call coffee.
there are boat rentals / scuba diving / day trips on small crusiers that are a hoot if you are into those things.
I would recommend that you check with the Embassy and pick up the lonly travlers guide to Kuwait may be a different name .
if you don't mind having a cupper with a yank from Texas then give me a shout.
Cheers M8t
