Expatriate Forums in Kuwait

Hi!

I have just moved to Kuwait a month ago and I havent heard anything positive about social life as an expat here yet. I am coming here from Shanghai, China and we had an amazing social life there as an expat. Other than an amazing nighlife we had regular meetups and house parties. I am sure that can be done here as well.

It has come to this! I am not a big fan of cyber-social, but then again I have never lived in Kuwait before and after four months, I now believe it is possible to die of boredom. I work for a large company and I know of only one ex-pat that is not married. Not suggesting married people can't get bored here, but imagine if you did not eve have each other to complain to. Wink

In any case, my experience is when a bunch of bored people get together, they are usually less bored. So did any of this gathering happen? If not, who is interested? Hey, we are here so let's start somewhere.

Hello,

Although I was born in Kuwait, I have moved to the US (Alabama) in 1986 and been living there till 2007 when I moved back to Kuwait, a lot have changed and I do feel I'm more American than Arabic.

I have been in Kuwait for a year now, there isn't much to do. Mainly working and raising kids then a little Gym twice a week. But that's about it.

I would love to meet a fellow American and hang out. An expat meet-up sounds like a great idea.

Let's do it. I'm game.
