The Course

At the heart of Sahara Golf & Country Club is our stunning 18-hole golf course, built to PGA championship standards. Crafted by Peter Harradine, the designer behind golf courses in Doha and Jabal Ali, this charming and challenging course is 6730 yards long and features three lakes and nearly 5000 trees.

Adding to the course’s distinctive character are its 12 holes bounded by the race track of the Hunting and Equestrian Club. This serves not only to add a challenging change in topography, but also offers an excellent view of the horse races. In all, nearly 750,000 m3 of sand was removed to sculpt the undulating contours of a course that engages golfers at every level of consciousness.

PGA Golf Management oversees the management of the course, ensuring that every aspect of the golfing experience meets stringent international standards. Floodlit holes allow players to pursue their passion even at night, avoiding summer’s heat and dust. The fully equipped driving range, with a shape similar to fairways, completes Kuwait’s ultimate golfing experience.

The Club

A luxurious 9500 m ² club house with due consideration was laid on the highest level of architectural specifications, as it is the image of the Golf Club to the members as well as to the visitors. The building comprises of:

* 350 m2 golf pro-shop, selling all golf-related equipment and accessories, as well as those of other sports like tennis and squash.
* Distinguished restaurant that serves members and visitors.
* Coffee shop, café and snack bar.
* Golfers' lounge.
* Sitting and rest areas in many locations inside the club.
* Covered outside balcony-terrace fit for barbecuing.
* Administration offices.
