Modern American School
Our school offers a comprehensive curriculum for students along with an extensive co-curricular program of activities. MAS's outstanding faculty and staff are positive, energetic people who have high expectations of themselves and their students. The evolving professional community at MAS is a major attraction as we increasingly demonstrate respect for students and making their success a top priority with a supportive, stimulating, and student centered-environment.
Every single activity conducted and decision made within our workplace emanates from the essential question: "What's best for Kids?" as well as gearing in our philosophy to a multi national student body.
The Modern American School (MAS) is a private, co-educational day school for students aged 3-18. MAS is located in one of the most attractive areas of Amman.
Teachers at MAS take keen interest in their students and deal with them on an individual basis as much as possible. In this way, friendships are encouraged between teachers and students which last beyond school, and many of our students frequently visit to reminisce about old times. The school is proud of the excellent results achieved by its SAT I & II, A Level, IGCSE and Tawjihi students. Our graduates now attend universities world-wide including Jordan. US, UK , Canada and Europe.

American Community School
The School
The American Community School (ACS) is a private co-educational day school which offers an educational program from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The curriculum is similar to that taught in U.S. public schools and teaching is conducted in English. Arabic, Spanish, and French are taught as foreign languages. ACS does not offer a program for students diagnosed as Learning Disabled. Students normally enter the school for the three year old class at the age of three years. It is school policy that a child must be three years old by September 1 to enter the three year old program, and four years old by September 1 to enter pre-kindergarten.
History of ACS
The school was first started in September, 1955, and was located in a private home. In 1957 the American Community Organization was formed, and on September 16 of that year the school opened in a rented building with a principal-teacher and two other teachers. Twenty children were enrolled. The school gradually expanded, and in 1965 it was moved to its present location. At first the school building consisted of five classrooms, a library, offices and a multi-purpose room. Today there are forty-four classrooms, a full library, three science labs, two computer labs, a sports and cultural center, three music rooms, and facilities for fine arts education.
