Position Description:
The above personnel is required to supervise NIPPON’s 2006 Periodical Well Survey programme for ten (10) wells on the Helang Integrated Platform (HIP) and Well Test
programme for Layang-2 Well on drilling rig, where are located offshore Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia.
The 2006 Periodical Well Survey will commence in early July, 2006 to measure bottomhole pressure/temperature/production data and to take surface well fluid sample possibly for the purpose of reservoir study. In addition, caliper and tubing-leak-detection tool is run downhole to investigate the well integrity. The estimated combined duration is approximately three and a half (31/2 ) months.
Well Test programme for Layang-2 well will commence once 2006 Periodical Well Survey (offshore) is completed.
Responsibilities:
The Welltest Engineer is the senior authority offshore responsible for carrying out the 2006 Periodical Well Survey programme in a safe and sound manner together with NIPPON Production Engineer or another Welitest Engineer on board at the same time, to ensure that the well survey operations are performed by the individual service contractors in accordance with the agreed procedures, the regulations imposed by the authorities and the relevant industry codes and standards.
The 2006 Periodical Well Survey programme will be carried out in parallel with HIP gas production operations activities conducted by operation group. In such case, the Welltest Engineer is required to discuss with Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) on Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS); Health, Safety and Environment (HSE); Permit to Work (PTW) and so on, who is responsible for the overall HIP production operations.
The well survey operation includes the following: -
• Set/retrieve PXX, PXN plug
• Open/close Sliding Side Door
• Set/retrieve Down Hole Shut In Tool with X-lock mandrel
• Hang-up Memory Gauge assembly by slickline
• Run Memory Production Logging Tool
• ~: ;n static bottomhole pressure survey (zone by zone)
• Run caliper survey
• Run tubing leak detection survey (if required)
• Collect well fluid sample at surface (if required)
Weiltest Engineer shall report to NIPPON Manager of Petroleum Engineering whilst supervising the individual service contractors involved in the well survey operations together with NIPPON Production Engineer or another Welltest Engineer onboard. The Scope of Services include, but not limited to the following: -
• To provide technical support to NIPPON Manager of Petroleum Engineering
• To prepare detailed and written well survey operation job plan for next twenty-four (24) hours, including all engineering calculation, slickline assembly etc
• To prepare material inventory, including service contractor’s tool/consumables
• To supervise service contractor’s operation, especially slickline job
• To have JSA and procedural meetings prior to each operation
• To conduct Well Handover from/to operation group
• To act as liaison between Miri Office, service contractors and the operation group to ensure sufficient co-ordination
To provide a daily well survey reports and communicate to/with NIPPON Manager of Petroleum Engineering
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate should fulfill the following requirements: • Minimum twenty (20) years experience mostly in well intervention (slickline, wireline, coiled tubing etc) and well testing with,
-/ Minimum five (5) years experiences in well intervention supervisory position including oil company offshore supervisory position
v’ Minimum two (2) years experience as a senior slickline operator or supervisor - well familiar with slickline operation procedures, system on all OTIS flow control devices with running/pulling tools and slickline fishing
/ Minimum one (1) year experience working offshore Malaysia
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
• Skills to use Microsoft Office software package for reporting purposes
• Readiness to work with different cultures and nationalities
