Hi Stud,
I just fell in love with bali. I don't work for baliadertiser nor do I live in bali. I am just sharing this as a tip from a tourist who has wasted quite some time going through all the junks on the web related to bali targetting rich foreigners and missing what bali actually is.
Perhaps both websites should get in touch to tie up a deal, since alloexpat makes info easy to browse and to share whereas baliadvertiser does have quality contents such as the one alloexpat has regarding malaysia...

Once our journey was over in villa prana, we took a ride up Nort of Babi in Lovina and found Puri Bagus villas on Lovina beach. It is made of many bungallows. Nothing really luxurious about it, but the location was great and so was the hotel's layout and swimming pool. Though, I do not necessarily recommend the early morning dolphins feeding which was way too touristic. A day spent there is more than enough, as there is nothing much about swimming in there although it is worth the view, especially the stunning sunrise

We then head down towards the West coast and decided to try out the Candidasa Puri Bagus Hotel to compare it to the previous one. There is no comparison possible, we all staid at the private villa with our own swimming pool in between the two bungallows. It is definitally higher range than Lovina's hotel. More expensive too, but still reasonably priced.

I have promised both hotels I would recommend them once back home, so here is the link: http://www.puribagus.net/

We were the six of us staying in this superb villa located in kerobokan, near petitinget, which is around Ku De Ta area. The villa included a swimming pool and 3 fantastic staff: a Manager, a Cook and a Domestic Helper. All included, it’s cost us less than a thousand USD a week divided by the 6 of us. And the staffs were part of the great experience as they really strived to make this trip an easy one from the airport transfers to the pancakes prepared at 6 am when coming back from party Just an amazing stay!
Hi everyone, I spent my last holidays in Bali and promised myself I would share this great experience on this alloexpat website.
I found many useful topics related to Malaysia but nothing regarding bali, so would like to fill-up this gap with my two cents…
I hope you guys will help me share comments and experiences to make this section as attractive as the Malaysian ones and please feel free to ask me question or disagree with me should I be wrong.
Cheers
I hear Paradise air (Bali based) has gone belly up, due to lack of the mighty tourist. If an airline goes bust how are the other businesses handling the lack of tourists, like Hotels, tour guides, small shops, and bars/pubs coping? I think it will get worse when the 9 drug mules get sentenced to death later this year.
POPULAR BALI ACTIVITIES

Water Sports: Swimming, snorkeling, banana boat rides, water ski, parasailing, etc. are arranged by most hotels and at the Beluga Marina in Tanjung Benoa. There are also small sail boats, catamarans, and boards for wind surfing for rent along Jimbaran Beach.
The most challenging of Bali's famous surfing spots are near Ulu Watu (only for experts in top physical condition who are comfortable surfing over coral reefs on large, powerful waves that break in shallow water) and along Bali's West coast North of Canggu; the best time is during the dry season from June to September. For details on the various locations please visit the Baliwaves web site or check Peter Neely's "Indo Surf & Lingo" guide book.
You can also buy a day-guest ticket (telephone before as prices vary from US$25 to US$40 per person and seem to depend on their occupancy!) and enjoy all sports facilities at Nusa Dua's CLUB MED until 17:00 in the afternoon. They offer sea kayakking, wind surfing, snorkeling, and many other sports activities such as water aerobics, archery, tennis, and ping pong tournaments, beach volleyball, bocci ball lessons, and a circus school for adults. The day-guest ticket includes a lunch buffet with a choice of Western, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean dishes and unlimited table wine, beer and soft drinks.
A large free-form swimming pool with a life band playing during the afternoon on the center island is the main attraction of the new HARD ROCK BEACH CLUB in Kuta. There is a pool-side restaurant for various snacks, a pool bar serving exotic drinks, and you can even rent your private pool-side "Cabana" if you wish to draw the curtains for some privacy. Pool use is 100,000 Rupiah per day for non-resident guests, and for the "Cabana" they charge 100,000 Rupiah per day.
Spending an afternoon in the Aquatonic Pool at the new RITZ-CARLTON THALASSO & SPA is an experience not to be missed!
