Hi,

I am writing to see if you might know of any budding thespians in Delhi who might be interested in doing a days acting for the BBC. We've got an awesome opportunity coming up for a documentary being made in Delhi by the BBC. If you wouldn't mind just spreading the word about this, we would greatly appreciate it.

The film is called THE LAST VICEROY, it's a docu-drama set in India on the eve of Independence. It looks at the Partition of the subcontinent into INDIA and PAKISTAN through the eyes of the last British Viceroy in India: Lord Mountbatten.

The film is being directed by CARL HINDMARCH and being produced by the for Channel 4.

We are looking to cast the supporting cast from India. And essentially need
foreigners who can pass off as being British. There is also an American role.
Here's what we need in terms of Featured Extras:

1. CHARLES SMITH- He's a British Manservant. Age 55-70. Non-Speaking Part,
has to be physically presentable and must be able to act out a detailed
scene where he adorns Lord Mountbatten for his swearing in ceremony with his
uniform, badges, hat etc.

2. ARCHIBALD NYE- British Governor. Age 50+ . Non Speaking Part.

3. AMERICAN JOURNALIST - Speaking Part, has one important dialogue. Age 40+.

4. EUROPEAN JOURNALIST - Non Speaking Part, Must look like a journalist! Age
40+

5. FRANK BURROWS - British Governor. Age 50+ . Non Speaking Part.

6. POSH MEHMSAHEB - A middle aged posh British Lady!

The actors will be very well styled with period costumes and make-up. They will only be required for one day of filming, either on the 2nd or 3rd of December, at a location just out of Delhi (1hr drive).
