Living in the countryside
Housing
I live here and have built a house. When I built here I search for the property and made sure it had clear title then when I bought it we when before the judge in the area and had him do the paper work. I next contacted a contractor to build the house. I paid for a permit [which I was probably the only one for miles that did]. A basic two-bedroom house cement block walls, cement floor, plaster walls and metal roof will cost US $ 10,000. Land, lawyers and permits US $ 5,000. This will give you an idea. This is base on living in the countryside away from tourist areas.
Health
I have been to the local hospital as a patient and helping someone else. The emergency room doctor was very good and fast. The only cost that I had was the price of the medicine nothing more and without medical insurance. I know have medical insurance which cost US $500 for my wife and I per year. This is for the clinics, which are privately, own and do charge. My wife seen a doctor in one of the clinics and needed an operation it was done the same day and the total cost for me was less than US $ 26. These are from my personal experiences
