This seems to be a weird question with so many people around you all the time here in Guangzhou, but I've been living in China now for almost two years and only see youngsters around me. I live in Guangzhou and would like to know about the right places to go for meeting older and well educated people (who speak English btw). Thank you for your time anyhow and maybe you can give me some good advices.

Well firstly you must understand, most foreigners do not want to be bothered by some "hoping to practice their english" (this may not be you, but if it it PLEASE take this into concideration when approaching strangers in public places.)
but you could goto starbucks when it is busy and ask to sit with someone, then casual introduce your self in a natural way and ask what there line of work is blah blah blah, never say we might be abl to work together can i have ur number ect, just say "oh well, i may see you here next week" or something along those lines.
lots of places have well educated people, but think out side the cirlce, the supermarket maybe....blah blah blah.
i am sure i have given you some good starting ideas.

all depends on your own age I guess...
If you are one of them, you could return home disapointed... If you are a young nice looking girl, big chance that you don't even have to introduce yourself...
Smile at them and some of them will introduce themselves to you... If that are those you should be looking for or especially avoid... That I leave that in the middle... hehe...
Anyway... Another thing : middle aged doesn't mean well educated... and young doesn't mean not educated... I had 3 bachelor degrees by the time I was 25 and by my looks people estimated me I was 18... 5 years later I had a business with over 50 people going on and I looked younger than 25....
Never mistake age for age for wisdom and youth for foolishness...
Sorry... Had to say it...
