Hi, Yes, that's what I'm looking for is a Permanent Residence. I used to have a Green card for China but that is no longer issued (for temporary residences anyway). I'll look around and see if I know any cops that can do that letter for me. Thanks.

I don't think you ever had a Chinese green card. You may have had, however, a green book. Those no longer exist.
Make sure that the letter is on official law enforcement agency letterhead, signed by the appropriate person and notarized by a representative of the law enforcement agency. It also must cover criminal records on a national level.
If you miss any of those steps you'll only lose the 1800 RMB it costs to apply and after waiting a year or so just get a denial letter. |
