Hi
I am an Indian national currently in US. My next assignment is in China, starting Jan next year. My company, based out of India, applied for my Z-visa.
I got my Visa notifcation and Work permit approval yesterday. I have the following questions regarding the visa:
1. My Visa notification says " Please get the visa issued from chinese embassy in India...."
As mentioned, I am currently in SF Bay Area in US. Can I get the stamping done in Chinese Consulate, San Francisco, showing this letter or do i need to get a new visa notification?
2. We are expecting our first child in last week of Nov. Hence earlier I didnt apply for dependent visa for my wife and yet to be born kid.
Once the kid is born, can I take them along with me for my stamping and get the dependant visa by showing the birth and marriage certificates?
3. My visa notification mentioned my visa as "Single entry" - How easy / difficult is to get it converted to "Multiple Entry" at the time of visa stamping?
4. My visa duration is for 365 days. Do I need to provide any medical reports for my visa stamping?
5. If my parents want to visit me later in china, is it possible to show them as my dependants ( they actually are) or do they have to come on visitor visa?

You'll have to ask the Chinese Consulate in SF. If you are in the US only on a tourist visa, they'll likely make you go back to the country of your nationality.

Yes.

All "Z" visas are single entry. Once you arrive in China, you have 30 days to convert that visa into a residence permit which will replace your visa and be valid for, usually, only one year.

They must get a tourist visa. It is virtually impossible to have anybody other than wife and child be considered dependant for visa purposes.
