Hello All,

I am a newly arrived expat in Beijing. There are many stories on these forums about how Chinese women appear to be very keen for expat men?

I would be very interested in some feedback/comments:

* why are they so keen on expats?
* where do you go to meet local girls?
* are a lot of these women hookers, or just keen for expats?
* how do you go with the language barrier?
* what are they looking for? sex? money? boyfriend? husband?
* are they attractive ladies or "not so"?

Very interested to get your thoughts?

Hiya, without generalising too much. a lot of the local girls who frequent bars/clubs in beijing will be keen to bag a western boyfriend for financial security and the opportunity to go abroad. some of the girls in bars/clubs will be hookers or simply girls who get a commission if they persuade a guest to spend money at the bar. if u want a nice local girl then you'd be better off finding one that u didn't meet in a bar/club. there are genuine local girls out there. how are u finding beijing? i am currently considering a move to either singapore or beijing and finding it very difficult to decide which one.
