Established in 2008, Guangzhou Xiangjiang High School ( hereinafter referred to as XJHS) is a private boarding school approved by the Guangzhou Education Bureau. Invested by Guangzhou Heungkong Group, XJHS is managed by Yucai Experimental School, which is located at Yuexiu District of Guangzhou. Designed to meet the standards of the best schools at the provincial level, XJHS currently has more than 100 teachers and staff members serving around 1200 middle and high school students. It covers an area of more than 100 acres, with a variety of facilities and advanced equipments. XJHS is located in a residential area, Jade-Green Island, which is 30 km away from Guangzhou Tianhe District. Job Description: Position: Full-Time AP instructor

Effective Date:
Fall Semester: August 24, 2012 – December 24, 2012;
Spring Semester: February 18, 2012 – June 18, 2012.

Minimum Qualifications:
Major in Economics and effective AP Economics teaching experience is required. Applicants must present evidence of effective teaching experience; ability to communicate effectively with Chinese High School and Middle School students.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in relevant fields, and prior experience or familiarity with Chinese students and culture. Effective teaching speaking and Listening English, or US history or psychology is a plus.

Duties:
Teach AP microeconomics and macroeconomics to Senior 3 students;
Teach speaking and listening English to middle school students.
Teaching load is up to 20 hours per week plus 4 office hours.

Compensation:
A. Salary: ￥20,000-￥25,000RMB per month, based on qualifications.
B. Airfare: International round-trip ticket once per semester.
C. Housing: A furnished housing during the teaching assignment will be provided.
