Hi All you Guangzhou forumers out there in cyberspace.
Well your probably thinking "On No not the local police again!!!" But I am here for our forum census.
I think it would be a great idea for anyone who is participating or even just watching the forum to post a quick hello, age location and any other interesting this about your self so other forumers can see who we have on you membership list, maybe youll make a friend, maybe youll find a partner, or maybe youll get some business contacts from it, lets just give this a try.

Signing in - dark tall 32 yr male from Australia.
Visiting Canton fair looking to source suppliers in kitchen utensils and home/IT electronics.
Also, looking to experience Gnz (culture and quisine) a bit more, as previous visit was painstakingly dull and absolutely frustratiing.
Classic sense of humour, high energy, and "work hard, play hard" attitude.
Contact on; message_access@hotmail.com if neccessary.
over and out!
(and oh!! one more thing....detests being taken for a sucker) |

Howdy!
Been in GZ for about 3-4 months. I moved here from the States.
I am an executive with a private equity firm. I dreamed of moving to China to expand the business, and after a year of working to make it happen...I am here and loving it.
Only challenge is, due to the nature of my business, I work during the market hours in NYC, NY. 9pm to 4am. My days and weekends are free and I would like to get to know more people here so contact me!

Hi there all... I'm Hans, a Belgian from origin... 31 years old... I'm in the business of consultancy towards foreign companies that want to do something on the South-Asian market... And I'm in software devellopement aswell.
I'm here on the forum to find new friends as I find it hard to hook up with the expat community. When I was in Shenzhen for 3 months for a project I had no problems what so ever of finding peers. In GZ... After all this time, no luck so far... Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.
I would love to do something together with the English speaking community in GZ, expats and Chinese all alike... The idea I have has never been done before in GZ and it is most certainly fun to do...
OOoh well... That's it... |

G'day all! This is Stewart from Brisbane in Australia and I am trying very hard to enjoy this time in Guangzhou, but geeeeeeeeeez, sometimes it is so bloody frustrating!!! The motto here seems to be........if it is easy, let's make it hard......and if it's hard, then let's make it bloody impossible! OK negativity out of the way, I am sure that there is a wonderful cultural experience to be had, if only I could find it.
Have been here nearly 5 months into a 12 month contract as an english teacher in a local middle school. Love the job, kids are great, and I have a lovely Chinese girlfriend, without her, I would be lost.
Take care all, hope I can catch up with someone soon.
