Biking at Anji, Huzhou The Bamboo Forest

“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”

Join Bohdi as we head to Anji for an adventure into the places nobody else will take you! We’ll spend the night at a quiet, cozy and out-of-the-way place on the border of the bamboo forest, where we'll drift to sleep to the soft rustling of leaves and croaking of bamboo staulks. In the morning we will plunge into our old trails weaving among the bamboo and connecting the quaint local villages and quiet reserviors.

This is one of the centers of the manufacturing industry so you can expect to see and hear it several times throughtout the day, from mom and pop chopstick making operations to fancy laminate flooring processing this area does it all with bamboo (most likely there will even be breakfast dishes made with bamboo) This is also the famous site of the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”. We will spend the day biking this most appealing setting, laced with terraced fields that have been farmed for centuries, dotted with reservoirs and blessed with a supple lumpy bicycle-able horizon.
