I am a girl from Malaysia and currently considering employment in Phnom Penh and would like to know the approximate cost of living including housing, food, clothing, clubs and pubs, internet and public transportations/or car to drive around for traveling. I need recommendations on areas to live near Hun Sen Park with convenience facilities around and on where to hang out for entertainments.
I speak fluent English and would like to know whether I would face any difficulties in communicating with the locals as I would not want to offend anyone unintentionally.
Any info to share would be much appreciated. Thanks.
The answer to a lot of your Questions depends on the Quality of life you are looking for.
Rent From $100. to $4,000. a month,
Meals from $1 to $50. ++
A lot of Khmers speak good English. Much more English spoken in Cambodia than in Thailand.
Public transport like buses & trains "No such thing" around the city Buses going to the country areas all day. Some Meter Taxi in PP now just starting. Most people use Moto Bike Taxi or Tuk Tuk.
