Hi, I will be on my way to work in Cambodia for a year or two within the next couple of months. I have several opportunities and in reality can probably choose where I want to locate myself. I would like some advice on different areas, I particularly don't want to find myself located in the centre of a sex tourist haven, this has happened to me twice over the years when locating myself around the Caribbean. I have lived around it and I can see why men swarm to these areas, flash a bit of cash around and take advantage of the local poverty and so on, but I'd appreciate being directed away from this kind of area. I am aware it will be everywhere, most poverty struck countries do that I have encountered but keeping it out of my face would be nice, or at least off my doorstep.
If anyone can advise me on the different areas to concentrate on I would very much appreciate, or even the areas to avoid. After several years in a pretty demanding environment I really want to kick back a bit, but be able to do it in a safer area without so much sleazy people around.
